I have been playing with the grandkids for the last few weeks and Sue has been taking care of her parents. We both had doctor appointments and Sue’s appointment went well. Mine not so well.
I told the doctor that since last summer I haven’t been able to catch my breath and I was coughing a lot. I thought I might have had COPD (watching too many commercials!) since I thought I had all the symptoms. The doctor set me up with a nuclear stress test and a chest x-ray. I did the chest x-ray the same day and they doctor’s office called and said they thought I had walking pneumonia! They sent me a prescription for antibiotics at the nearest Walmart. This was on a Friday and the following Tuesday I did the nuclear stress test. After the stress test I did not hear from the doctor’s office or the hospital so I thought everything was good. The doctor’s follow-up appointment was 2 weeks later, so I washed the complete motorhome – roof and all sides and did a few other chores not knowing any better!
Well at the follow-up appointment the doctor still did not have the results from the stress test and once he got them he was extremely mad!!!! The results showed some blockage and they hospital did not let anyone know!!! So off to the cardiologist the same day as my follow-up appointment and the cardiologist scheduled me for a angiogram with the possibility of putting in a stent. We they did put in a stent yesterday and said no driving until tomorrow.
Which is good because we had planned to leave Lake Charles on Thursday since Sue’s mom is doing a lot better and can get around. So off we go to Texas to visit friends and maybe a rally and a seminar on our freightliner chassis.
Until next time!
