Sunday we drove to Anthony, Texas and met Richard and Patsy at the Flying J at mile marker 0. Richard had some trouble with his left jack on his motorhome and we had to do some work on it so the motorhome would stay filled with air on his air ride leveling system while he drove. We got that figured out and we all drove to Benson, Arizona. We stayed at a Passport America park right off of I-10 for $12.00 a night. Whew! That was a long day!!
We left this morning (Monday) and drove to Tucson, AZ and stopped at Camping World. I bought a new CB, since I have been having trouble with my old one and installed it quickly in the parking lot of Camping World. Richard and Roger unhooked their tows and we all rode over to Trader Joe’s to get some groceries and cheap wine. We then made a Wal-mart stop to get other essentials. We left Camping World and drove to Gila Bend, AZ and arrived at Holt’s Shell and RV park. It is another Passport America park. There we did laundry, empty the grey and black tanks and topped off the fresh water tank. We also topped off the diesel tank in the motorhome, since we will be using the generator out in the desert. Richard and I then drove over to the Love’s truck stop and I bought a new CB antenna that I will install on the motorhome tomorrow before we leave for Quartzsite. It is only about a 2 hour drive to Quartzsite from here tomorrow.
When we get to Quartzsite, Roger wants to pick up a remote generator start (wireless) unit for his motorhome. He has one ordered from the local Quartzsite RV dealer. I will then help him install it.
Until next time!
