We left Quartzsite on Thursday around 10:30 AM and headed to Yuma, AZ. Our friends, Ed and Lavaughn, who were staying in Quartzsite at the 99 mile marker left today also. Since we are staying at their place in Yuma we left with them and followed them to their property.
We got settled in and Sue did some wash (we had been in the desert for 10 days!) and boy did we need to do some wash!
Friday we visited with Ed and Lavaughn and did some inside cleaning of the motorhome trying to get rid of some of the desert dust.
Saturday we had been invited to meet our friends, Jag and Bev, at their RV resort where they have a “Burger Bash” at the main building put on by the resort. For $3.50 a person you get a burger, chips and all the beer/soda you want. The entertainment was three different Elvis impersonators singing all Elvis’s old songs.
Here are a few photos.

Along the outside parking lot of the pavilion they were having a classic car show.

This is my favorite.
This is a close second. The engine is 2 cylinders and 22 horsepower!
Truth in advertising! Reminds me of when we worked for Amazon.com!
Check out the cool bar-b-que grill they were auctioning off! Small block chevy?
On the way back from the car show we passed by one of the many agricultural fields filled with some type of vegetable.
Saturday afternoon, some of our other friends, Terry and Vicky arrived at Ed and Lavaughn’s property. They parked their 5th wheel in front of us on the side of the house. I will try to get a picture of where we are parked and post it later. Now for some fun!
Sunday morning we had friends stop by that were heading to San Diego. Dave and Sandy, whom we met a few years ago in Red Bay, AL at the Tiffin service center, were passing through and we got a chance to visit with them. We tried to get them to stay for Sue and Betty’s birthday bash, but they were on tight schedule. Left to right: Dave, Sue, Patsy and Sandy.
Check out the spelling on the birthday cake!!!

Monday, Ed and I , rode around with Terry looking at RV’s. Terry is looking at one for his brother and one for them. He would like to trade his F450 and Carri-lite 5th wheel in on a small Class A motorhome.
Tuesday, Sue, Betty and Lavaughn went on a hike with Jag in the mountains. Today was Sue’s actual birthday and she did something she likes to do. Go Sue! Happy Birthday Sue!!!
Here are a few photos from their hike, compliments of Jag. Thanks Jag!
Here is Jag, their very informative hiking guide.

There were many more beautiful pictures, but didn’t want to upload them all and slow down your Internet connections!
Until next time!
