We stopped in Las Cruces to visit our friends Donna and Roger. You may remember them from our previous blogs where we travelled with them from Texas to Quartzsite. Well on their way back from Arizona the engine in their motorhome threw a rod. Their motorhome is now at a Cummins dealer in El Paso getting worked on so they will be there awhile.
We stopped to visit and we went out to eat with them at La Posta de Mesilla.
The food was pretty good and the conversation was even better! Roger and Donna we hope everything turns out well with the motorhome!
The next morning we left Las Cruces and drove to Segovia, Texas to a little Passport America park for the night (about 450 miles). We left Segovia and drove all the way to Lake Charles (about 500 miles). Lake Charles is not that far from Segovia, but we had to detour around Lake Charles because both bridges around Lake Charles was closed down to one lane. The detour took us an hour and a half longer or we could have waited in traffic for 2 hours.
We are back at my brother and sister-in-law’s house south of Lake Charles for awhile. We are not sure how long, but we will see what happens.
Until next time!
