Saturday night I took Austin, one of our twin grandsons, to the McNeese State University versus University of Central Arkansas here in Lake Charles. We first walked among the tailgaters visiting some of my friends. Here is Austin next to one of tailgaters’ car.
Before the football game some skydivers dropped in with the game ball.
Unfortunately, McNeese lost by 1 point to a very good UCA team. It was a great game that went back and forth with the lead changing many times. It went down to the last 8 seconds!!
Sunday we went to the Richard (Ree-shard) family reunion, which is my mother’s side of the family. It was held at the old camp on the Calcasieu River, where my parents used to take us all the time when we were little. My parents liked it so much up there, that they bought the camp a couple doors down and I used to spend all my summers up there when I was a young teen. We had a great turnout of the relatives with a lot of games as the next few photos show.
My cousin, Cindi, dressed up like a sumo wrestler! She had difficulty walking, so I got a good shot of her here. Of course, I had to help her up!
The start of the Mama and me contest. Our oldest son is the one on the right. Our only granddaughter is the one with the hula hoop watching her dad!
During the contest.
End of contest. Our son won! What a bunch of cuties!
The majority of the contests were won by the Didelot family! Yeah!!!
Here are the 2 technology crazy relatives, comparing notes. The one on the right is Weston, one of our twin grandsons. Blake on the left is my second cousin, he does a lot of really cool stuff with his iPad and he is writing a new iPad app.
This Thursday we will be leaving Lake Charles and head to Conroe, Texas for a Lone Star Allegro Club rally.
Until next time!
